In May 2016, ERAU Motorsports Unveiled their second car, ER02. Godwin Kelly, motor-sports writer, from the Daytona News Journal was on hand to document the event and what it meant for the students and the University to have their first car on a global stage.
In October 2016, ERAU Motorsports had the wonderful opportunity to do an educational session with Flagler STEM Academy. Team members went out to help educate about the possibilities that STEM provides, especially mechanical engineering.
Race team visit
On January 8th after the Roar Before the 24 at Daytona International Speedway, Rebellion Racing came to campus to work on their car and meet with some of our students. This opportunity gave our students the chance to speak with industry professionals and learn more about auto racing.
Before the unveiling event for ER02 the university wrote an article introducing the formula team to the university. The article discusses how many people from many majors have all come together under one banner to represent their university on the global stage.
3d Printing Technologies
During the 2015-2016 academic year. ERAU Motorsports was looking for a stronger alternative for aluminum clevis plates that were used on the aero pack. The solution, a 3D printer. Read how ERAU Motorsports used this new technology to their advantage.
